O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

Our plans to cut down a Christmas tree were thwarted when Charles managed to injure his shoulder and knee Saturday morning. Thankfully, with the help of my parents, I found a beautiful pre-cut tree shipped all the way from Seattle!

Saturday Project

We worked on our guest bathroom today... painted, replaced the light fixture and the mirror. Now, we just need to replace the carpet with tile and get rid of the ugly laminate countertop... but, those are projects for another day.

A few more pics

The guest bedroom (and more often Sophie's). Thanks to Bruce, it's now painted antique white rather than white white.

Happy Halloween!

Since we closed on October 30th, we passed out candy to trick-or-treaters at the new house Friday night. Sophie didn't appreciate her pumpkin costume quite as much as the children did...

Thanks to the help of Bruce and Tim, our first big project is completed. The master bedroom has been transformed from stark white to an inviting green!

Nothing much

Well, it's getting closer to closing and we finally managed to get a picture of the exterior. Also, check out Sophie's new raincoat... perfect for the rainy days we've been having.

Hello from Cheather

Hello everyone. Welcome to our blog. If you're expecting to find deep thoughts on life's great questions, this is definitely not the blog to visit. But if you're just here to check out pictures (mostly of Sophie), you've come to the right place.

For those of you who haven't heard, we welcomed little Sophie into the family on June 22nd. She's a feisty lhasapoo puppy (lhasa apso/poodle mix) who is too cute for her own good. Although Charles didn't want a puppy at first, it was love at first sight with little Miss Sophie. Of course, who could blame him?

Our other exciting news is that we are under contract for our first house. We close on October 30th... hopefully. More pictures coming soon!
